The Art & Framing Roadshow 2015 update

By on 27th Apr 2015

On a bright and sunny morning Wessex Pictures and the other exhibitors converged on the Hilton Hotel in Southampton for the first of the Art & Framing Roadshows 2015. There was a positive feel to the first early morning while everyone erected their displays.

The first visitors arrived at just before 10am. Many appreciated the fact that we had made an effort to come to their area especially since the demise of the Art & Framing section at the Spring Fair. Being so much closer meant it was easier for them to meet with so many companies in a short time.

All the exhibitors commented on the good nature of the visitors and many first contacts were made which could only be a positive thing for both exhibitor and visitors.

The next day the Roadshow moved east to the River Centre in Tonbridge. Again the visitors arrived early and it was another busy start for the exhibitors. Steve Goodall was busy showing the latest techniques involved in the Hot

Press laminating and drymounting products while Paul Goldring from Liberon commented on the interest that people had in learning some of the techniques involved in hand finishing frames. Also happy with the interest shown was Steve Hible and his Pricing Program and App for Framers.

Derek Thorburn - “I enjoyed the show and thought that the size and layout was great. I was able to use my time very efficiently which is always a bonus.  There were a couple of things I needed to get sorted out and this was an ideal opportunity for that on a face to face basis which is so much better than phone”.

Toni Round “I thought that this type of show is a much better idea than the spring show.  I came along with three main purposes and I achieved results in all three.  Keep up the good work”!

Alan Friday “As a member of a wider art community I think it is important to keep up-to-date with materials and technological advances and relatively informal meetings such as your roadshows are an ideal way to do this.  It was an opportunity to discuss materials and techniques in a bit more depth and to exchange ideas with knowledgeable people”.

The next shows will be at Newmarket Racecourse on 12th May and The Centre Conference Venue in Slough on May 13th. We look forward to seeing you there. Doors open at 10am.
